Extremely disappointing experience at this service center. I had an oil change on January 23rd, and immediately after reaching home, I noticed the underbody shield hanging and dragging. The metal portion was loose and pulled the attached plastic shield off completely while driving. This happened right after their service. I reported the issue immediately. Since then, I have sent multiple emails and made several follow-up calls. The manager, Jeff Trump, responded once initially, but since then has not responded to multiple follow-up emails and calls. I was told parts were ordered weeks ago, yet I still have no confirmation, no clear update, and no repair date. Because the shield is missing, I have not been able to travel long distances, expecting this would be fixed soon. It has now become extremely frustrating. When you go in for a simple oil change, you do not expect to leave with additional problems and then struggle for weeks just to get a response. Very disappointed in the lack of accountability and communication.Based on my experience, I would not recommend this service center. If something goes wrong, do not expect timely communication or clear resolution.

I initially brought my car in for a simple oil change, but during the inspection they called to let me know that all four of my tires had tears and really needed to be replaced. I was already overdue for new tires, so it made complete sense and I appreciated them catching it and explaining everything clearly. I asked if they’d be able to finish by a certain time, and they did exactly that. I was very impressed with the overall service—everyone was professional, efficient, and the guy who helped me was especially kind and easy to work with. I’m honestly not sure why there are so many negative reviews, because I had a great experience from start to finish and would definitely come back!

I mailed the following letter to Virginia Tire and Auto more than 6 weeks ago and no one has responded: Dear General Manager, We have been long-standing customers of Virginia Tire & Auto at the Ashburn Farms location and have historically relied on your staff’s professional judgment. However, we have experienced three service-related issues—two of them recent—that raise concerns about the thoroughness and reliability of your service recommendations. First, in July/August 2023, I brought our 2007 Toyota Corolla in for service prior to a planned cross-country road trip to Arizona. I specifically advised the front desk representative of the nature of the trip and asked that the vehicle be evaluated to ensure it was roadworthy. During that visit, Virginia Tire & Auto did not identify or advise us that the tires exhibited dry rot. While on the trip, the vehicle was totaled in a single-car accident, with tire dry rot identified as a contributing factor. Had this condition been identified at the time of service, we would have purchased replacement tires from Virginia Tire & Auto. Second, on November 20, 2025, we brought our 2016 Infiniti QX50 in for service. A battery replacement was recommended at a quoted price of $480. I declined the service due to the cost. At checkout, the representative realized the quote reflected two batteries rather than one. This suggests the estimate was not reviewed for accuracy or reasonableness before being presented. Had an accurate quote been provided initially, we would have proceeded with the replacement that day. Third, on December 17, 2025, we again brought the 2016 Infiniti QX50 in for service. A spark plug replacement was recommended. Upon further discussion, the representative acknowledged that the spark plugs had already been replaced in April 2024 and that the vehicle was not yet due for this service. This incident raises concern regarding whether service recommendations are consistently reviewed against prior work performed. While we understand that mistakes can occur, the cumulative effect of these experiences has caused us to pause before continuing our relationship with Virginia Tire & Auto. We would appreciate your consideration of a goodwill service credit and an explanation of how these issues will be addressed so that we can feel comfortable continuing to do business with your organization.

I made an appointment for a specific time, to have a simple oil change done to my car. I arrived 5 minutes before the appointment time, and checked in and handed my keys over. I was waiting for more than 2 hours, and no update to the work that was (or wasn't) being completed. I went up to the counter to speak with Zach, and he said the technician was completing notes, and my car would be ready soon. Another half hour passed, and I still had no updates. Since when does it take over 2.5 hours to complete an oil change. This service should not take more than 1 hour at maximum. Zach kept giving me excuses that my car would be done soon, but they were not true. I know this is not Zach's fault, but each time I requested information, I never got a true answer in return. I will not be returning to this location, and I will tell all my friends and family to never use this location for any future service.

Horrible place waitied in a line of 5 cars to get a state inspection done waited from 11am and it is now 3pm and still waiting with 3 cars ahead of me. Its my fault for waiting this long and you should never give a business like this one penny of your money. I had to leave the line.
