I’ve been a customer here before, but this most recent experience was frustrating and concerning enough that I feel compelled to share. I brought in my 2012 Camry for diagnostics and was given a very large repair estimate. I asked for revised estimates to better understand what was urgent versus what could wait. My car then sat at the shop for most of the week while I waited for those revised estimates, which required multiple follow-ups on my end. After deciding to forgo all recommended repairs except for an oil change, I called ahead and was told to come back Sunday at 5:00 pm so the paperwork could be finalized and the oil change completed. When I arrived at 5:00, my car was just being pulled into the shop, and I was then asked to wait an additional 20–30 minutes. I had errands to run, so I left and returned about 15 minutes before closing. At that point, I was rushed through checkout and sent on my way. What was not mentioned — and what is most concerning — is that the coolant reservoir was completely empty, despite the shop previously identifying significant coolant leaks. No one topped it off, no one warned me, and no one advised against driving the vehicle in that condition. I later had an independent mechanic look at the car, who was shocked that it was allowed to leave the lot without even a temporary coolant top-off. I understand shops are busy, and I understand estimates can be high at chain service centers, but communication, follow-through, and basic safety checks matter. In this case, expectations were set and not met, my time was not respected, and a potential safety issue was overlooked. I’m sharing this so other customers can make informed decisions and hopefully so the store can improve its customer handling and attention to basic safety details.

I love this place. This is because of the service. From the front desk to the team working on the vehicles. I like how if there is a problem, they show you the issue with your car and explain the purpose for their recommendations. I was here today and Shawn and Beverly were fantastic. Shawn was helpful, friendly and very professional. Beverly was knowledgeable, clear and had a strong mastery and skill with the systems and processes. Thank you to both of you and the team. I will be back and recommend others.

I am writing this review to warn every potential customer about the predatory and profoundly disappointing experience I had at Virginia Tire & Auto in Manassas. After hitting debris on Route 66, I arrived with a nearly flat front driver's side tire and two bent rims. The Initial Relief and the Immediate Up-Sell My initial relief when the floor salesman informed me that my damaged tires were covered under an extra protection plan I had purchased from this very location was short-lived. A quick inspection was followed by a stunning recommendation: despite my coverage, I was strongly advised to replace all four tires for approximately $1200. The ridiculous justification? "All-wheel-drive systems don't function as well when the tread condition of the tires vary." This is a classic, high-pressure, and highly suspect up-sell tactic designed to scare a customer into unnecessary expenses. I refused the four-tire replacement and agreed to replace only the two most severely damaged tires for about $700, much to the obvious "shacringe" (shameful cringe) of the salesman who clearly lost his commission on the massive job. The Bait-and-Switch and Price Gouging The next day, 24 hours after dropping off my vehicle, I called back expecting the $700 job to be complete. Instead, I was hit with a new, even more outrageous quote. Now, they claimed a rim was bent and the new total was $1400 for two tires and one new rim. I felt completely trapped and initially agreed, only to immediately realize my mistake. The True Cost and the Final Insult Thankfully, I immediately contacted my insurance company and was able to stop the work, preventing the $1400 rip-off. I moved my car to an insurance-approved shop, Caliber Collision in Manassas, and the difference in honesty and pricing was astonishing: * Caliber Collision's Final Bill: Replaced one tire, repaired the other, and replaced TWO bent rims for a total cost of approximately $800. My out-of-pocket expense with the deductible was only $250. * Virginia Tire & Auto's Estimate: $1400 for two tires and only one rim, based on an alleged need for four tires at $1200. Virginia Tire & Auto demonstrated a clear pattern of exaggeration, dishonesty, and price gouging. To add insult to injury, they charged me a $100 restocking fee for the two tires they ordered, even though they failed to complete the repair in a timely or ethical manner. This entire experience was a terrible display of poor customer service and questionable business practices. Do not trust Virginia Tire & Auto with your vehicle. They will attempt to maximize your repair bill through questionable recommendations and high-pressure tactics. Take your business to an honest and competent shop like Caliber Collision. Final Verdict: 1/5 Stars - Dishonest and Extremely Overpriced.

I’ve been going here for the last year for oil changes and tire maintenance. Beverly and Shawn are always so helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to helping me with my car maintenance and getting the work done in the same day. The whole team is great!

It saddens me to write this review, but I feel compelled to share our frustration and disappointment with our recent experience at the Bristow shop regarding our 2019 Chrysler Pacifica. Last month, our check engine light came on with a cylinder 6 misfire code. We made it very clear to both the salesperson and lead technician that we did not want to invest in expensive repairs if it turned out to be a major engine problem. We specifically authorized a compression test, with the understanding that if it indicated an engine issue, the shop would stop and call us. We were told the vehicle passed the test and only needed new coils and spark plugs for $2,500. Relieved, we authorized the repairs. However, the very next day, the same check engine light and code appeared. When we returned the vehicle, we were told the likely cause was now a cracked engine head with coolant leaking. We were also informed that the compression test would not have revealed this issue, and that a different, more expensive test would have been required—information we were never given before authorizing the $2,500 repair. Had we been properly informed, we never would have spent $2,500 on a repair that did not resolve the issue. Despite multiple attempts to seek accountability, including requesting a refund or warranty coverage, we have received little to no follow-up from management or any warranty refund. The General Manager and subsequent upper management has not returned calls/emails as promised, leaving us frustrated and unsupported. As longtime customers (9+ years) who have also referred family members and friends, we are extremely disappointed by the lack of transparency, professionalism, and accountability. I feel compelled to share this publicly so potential customers are aware that this shop does not value or treat their clients fairly, honor warranties or properly communicate with its clients.
