I took my brother's car in because I thought he needed a new tire since the tire kept leaking air. Thanks to Mariah's transparent and high-quality customer service, I spent much less money than I thought I would! Mariah provided three options for tire replacement, but also noted that the team would conduct a free inspection to be sure a tire replacement was actually required. It turns out that the tire did not need to be replaced and it only needed a $20 standard tire balance. In addition to the great service, the shop was very clean (inside & out) and welcoming. Even the space where the cars were being serviced was clean! I can see Mariah owning that shop one day. 🙂

Kept my family safe and cared when it mattered most - I was cleaning my wife’s car in our driveway when I noticed the oil light said 0% oil. It was late in the day, about 20 minutes before closing, but I drove to Virginia Tire & Auto in Herndon hoping they could help. The place was quiet, and I could see the mechanics starting to clean up for the night. Michael (an Asian guy) at the front desk greeted me. He was professional, polite, and looked sharp in khakis and a button-up — honestly reminded me of the level of service you get at a Mercedes dealership. I asked about an oil change, and he said they were wrapping up but could schedule me for Monday. I explained that my wife needed the car to take our kids to Kings Dominion the next day, and that the car showed 0% oil. The moment he heard that, he looked genuinely concerned and said, “0%? Hold on.” He stepped into the shop and called out to Jim. A minute later, he came back and said, “We’ll take care of you now.” Jim and Nick jumped right in, even though I know they were ready to go home. They didn’t have to help, but they did, and that small act of kindness meant everything. Because of them, my wife and kids could travel safely the next day. To Michael, Jim, and Nick — thank you. You went above and beyond for a total stranger, and I’ll always be grateful. My family means the world to me, and you helped keep them safe. That kind of service is rare, and I won’t forget it.

Deceptive, Overpriced, and Dishonest Business Practices I came to this shop initially for a tire replacement and initially believed it was a professional, trustworthy place. Unfortunately, that couldn’t have been further from the truth. I paid nearly $2,700 for multiple repairs that were NEVER even done, including rear shock absorbers and front strut assemblies. I dropped my car off at 7:30 AM for a scheduled appointment, and they kept it for almost 10 hours before I finally called to ask if it was ready. When I picked up my car around 6 PM and inspected the work at home, I discovered the front strut assembly. including the coil, boot, and isolator was never replaced, even though that’s exactly what I paid for. Instead, they only swapped out the strut itself, and even that was a different brand and model than the one I paid for and was listed on my invoice. When I confronted them, the sales manager admitted they used a different part entirely and even acknowledged that it was bad business practice. They tried to claim an “assembly” meant only one piece, but their own paperwork and previous discussion with me clearly defined the full assembly (strut, coil, boot, and isolator) was gonna be replaced! Two certified master mechanics independently confirmed that the work was not performed as billed. To make matters worse, the shop told me they paid $140 for one of the parts but charged me $341 a markup of over 140% and this excessive markup appeared on every part listed, including ones they never even installed. When I asked for a refund or to have the correct work done, they flat-out refused. They also stripped multiple lug nuts on my car tighting them way way over the recommended foot pounds of torque for my car per the manufacturer THANKFULLY I RECORDED the entire conversation with the sales manager Daniel Burns admitting the work wasn’t done properly and that swapping out paid for parts was not right! I’ve already spoken with Fairfax County Police and will be taking this to court. It’s disgraceful that a business like this operates with such blatant dishonesty. Do not trust this shop, Find a reputable and transparent place that values integrity and their customers.

I brought my car in 2/10/2026 to get an oil change (price was cheaper than some other places I checked) as well as get my car checked because there was a scratching sound coming from under my car and it felt like something was hitting the ground when I drove at high speeds. I filled out an online form and under the services tab I selected to get an oil change, and the I’m not sure section - what lights are on I selected maintenance req’d and tpms lights and for the symptoms I selected noise. I selected the time that I could come in and got an email saying they needed more information so I called and mentioned the issue with the scratching and I went in the next day. When I got there, there was one girl who explained the diagnostic to me and said that if it was a simple fix they usually waive the $164 diagnostic fee. It took about 2 hours which was fine and the first girl’s shift ended so she left before my car was done and another receptionist that I didn’t see when I came in said that the problem with the car was just the “wheel liner hanging loose on the passenger side. After lifting the vehicle up and they reattached it so it won’t blow back and rub on the tires while driving” - direct quote from tech notes. I agreed and went to pay and this second girl told me the amount I had to pay and I was confused at first because I thought it was a simple fix like the first girl said so I thought I wouldn’t be charged since they said they just popped it back in.They also charged me an extra $16.40 for the tpms light that I had checked in the form which was not mentioned to me on the phone when I talked with them the day before. I was asking questions about the extra charge (I thought I just had to say what lights I had on in the car…but that was not the case) but I had to leave so I didn’t really argue with the price. Car seemed fine until 2 days ago when I heard the scratching noise again…I called them and told them that the problem was not in fact fixed and my car was making the same noises as the first time when I brought it in. Person on the line said I would need to bring it in for them to check, but I would still be charged. EVEN THOUGH THEY DID NOT FIX MY PROBLEM. I did not end up taking it in and just looked at my car to see if I could take it somewhere else to fix because they clearly didn’t know how to fix it and also charged me almost $200 for it…I didn’t know exactly what a wheel liner was before going to VA Tire & Auto, but I looked it up myself before I decided to take it to another auto shop and I just popped it back in myself. I was dumbfounded honestly because it was clearly noticeable. If they lifted the car up and saw that it was hanging they could have just popped it in or screwed it in. It seemed like such an easy fix that after I popped it in was wondering why the $164 charge wasn’t waived. I also don’t exactly know why they did a whole body report…I just thought it was completely unnecessary. I don’t know anything about any of the other store locations, but needless to say I was completely ripped off for something they temporarily fixed but also did a completely bad job of doing so and will never be going back.

I had a very excellent experience here. Despite making a silly mistake when ordering tires, Sean was incredibly patient, understanding, and helpful. He answered all my questions and we had a very easy conversation. This could easily have been a nightmare but I felt very comfortable and ended up happy with my new tires. He'd even given me a heads up that they weren't the quietest tires ever before I left, but after we discussed a little and I decided to go with them, I was pleased that they were very similar in quality to my old ones. Sean was the person I worked with the most and he is clearly experienced and smart, but everyone in the shop was so lovely. I definitely see myself returning and recommending this location.
